Fallout 4's upcoming Nuka-World expansion, the celebrated RPG's final add-on, is coming this month. Now, it appears we know the add-on's final size for PC. It's reportedly bigger than Fallout 4's Far Harbor expansion, which included the largest landmass Bethesda had ever made for an expansion pack.
According to GamingBolt, the Steam Database entry for Nuka-World reveals that the content will be around 3.66 GB. By comparison, the Far Harbor expansion was around 2.7 GB.
As GamingBolt mentions, file size is not always directly related to game content. The entirety of the recently released No Man's Sky, for example, is smaller than a Halo 5: Guardians update.
The file sizes mentioned above are for the PC version of Nuka-World.
[IMG]Bethesda has stated Fallout 4's Nuka-World expansion is coming in August, but a specific release date has not been announced. We're now about half-way through the month, so an announcement should come soon.
Nuka-World, which is set in a post-apocalyptic amusement park, adds new quests, weapons, and more. Here is the official description:
"Take a trip to Nuka-World, a vast amusement park now a lawless city of Raiders. Explore an all-new region with an open wasteland and park zones like Safari Adventure, Dry Rock Gulch, Kiddie Kingdom, and the Galactic Zone. Nuka-World features new quests, Raiders, weapons, creatures, and more. Enjoy the ride!"
Fallout 4's DLC so far has included Automatron (March 2016), Wasteland Workshop (April 2016), Far Harbor (May 2016), Contraptions Workshop (June 2016), and Vault-Tec Workshop (July 2016). All of that, as well as Nuka-World, is included with the $50 Fallout 4 DLC Pass.
We would expect Bethesda Game Studios to continue to support Fallout 4 after August with gameplay updates for tuning and bug fixes. But as for what's next? Fallout 4 director Todd Howard has talked about some "big and crazy" projects, so maybe it's one of those.
Recently, Bethesda's Pete Hines said he knows what Bethesda Game Studios is working on for the next decade and they're all projects fans will be excited about. The Elder Scrolls VI might be one of them.
