Production on Maze Runner: The Death Cure, the third movie in the series of Young Adult adaptations, was halted earlier this year following an on-set accident involving star Dylan O'Brien. It has now been reported that the film has a set date for shooting to resume.
[IMG]According to Deadline, production will recommence in February 2017. This is the month that the film was originally set to be released before the accident. As a result, the film will now be released in January 2018.
In March, O'Brien sustained significant injuries while filming The Death Cure. According to Deadline he fell from a "set that was made to look like the back of a train and fractured either his cheekbone or orbital socket." The production was indefinitely postponed while the 24-year-old actor recovered from his injuries.
O'Brien plays Thomas in the Maze Runner series, based on the novels from author James Dashner. The first movie, The Maze Runner, was released in 2014, with sequel The Scorch Trials landing in 2015. They were both box office hits.
