The first episode in Telltale's Minecraft: Story Mode series is now free on consoles and PC.

Episode 1, The Order of the Stone, is now completely free on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, iOS, and Android. The PlayStation versions are only free in North America right now, but should become free in European territories "very soon," Telltale said in a press release.

Story Mode's Season Pass, Adventure Pass, Season Pass Deluxe, and Complete Adventure packages are also discounted in accordance with the first episode now being free. Additionally, Telltale will launch a new $30 Complete Edition retail disc that offers the five Episode 1 chapters and the three from the Adventure Pass series on consoles starting on October 25 in North America; it comes to Europe on October 28, while PC players can expect it "in the near future."

Story Mode features the voices of Patton Oswalt, Paul Reubens, Sean Astin, and Corey Feldman.
