Rockstar Games has announced the next weekly event for GTA Online, the multiplayer mode for Grand Theft Auto V. What Rockstar calls "Freemode Week" starts today, August 26, and runs until September 1. As part of the week-long event, players can earn double GTA$ and RP and save on cars and weapons.
With the exception of time trials, all GTA Online freemode events now yield double GTA$ and RP. This spans everything featured in 2015's Freemode Events Update, including the one where a player becomes a faster, stronger, and hairier version of their character called Hunt the Beast.
[IMG]As for the discounts, players can save 25 percent on the Vapid FMJ car, while the Karin Sultan RS upgrade is available for 50 percent off. Additionally, ignition and car bombs are 50 percent off, while resprays can be purchased for 25 percent off.
It's not just car items on sale during the week, however, as body armor and pistols are 50 percent off; SMGs and assault rifles are 25 percent off. Further, all "luxury" weapon finishes are 50 percent off as part of the Freemode Week sales.
Lastly, Rockstar announced that "Rally" is this week's premium stunt race, replacing Plummet. As with all premium races, the first-place payout is GTA$100,000, while second and third pay out $30,000 and $20,000 respectively.
If none of this sounds interesting to you, Rockstar typically launches new events every week, so there may be something for you next week.
