News New Guardians of the Galaxy 2 Images Show the Team's Latest Space Adventure

    New images for the upcoming Marvel sci-fi adventure Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 have been released. The movie hits theaters in May, and these new pictures show Star-Lord, Baby Groot, Gamora, and the rest of the gang getting involved in more intergalactic action, Check them out below:


    Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 stars Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Dave Bautista (Drax), Karen Gillan (Nebula), Vin Diesel (Groot), Bradley Cooper (Rocket), and Michael Rooker (Yondu), with Kurt Russell also part of the cast. It is directed by James Gunn, who also helmed the first film. A full trailer was released in December--check it out here.

    Earlier this month, Matthew McConaughey revealed that he had been offered a role in the movie, but ultimately decided not to appear. "I like Guardians of the Galaxy, but what I saw was, 'It's successful, and now we've got room to make a colorful part for another big-name actor.' I'd feel like an amendment," he said.

    Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 opens on May 5, 2017.

    In related news, Telltale Games has also confirmed the rumor that they are working on a video game based on the characters, and released a trailer during The Game Awards 2016.
