Sega has released a new trailer for Total War: Warhammer showing off the new content being added as part of the Grim & The Grave DLC pack.
Among the additions are Volkmar the Grim and Helman Ghorst, two "Legendary Lords" that fight for the light and the shadows. There's also two new lord types, with the Strigoi Ghoul King joining the Vampire Counts, and warrior priests Arch Lector joining the Empire.
"Both the Empire and Vampire Counts unit rosters are being expanded with two brand new units each," Sega said, further detailing the new additions.
"The Knights of the Blazing Sun, the zealous Flagellants and versatile Free Company Militia join the ranks of the Empire, while the vampire counts will see their undead hordes imbued with dark magic by the gruesome Corpse Cart and volatile Mortis Engine.
"The rosters of both factions are also further expanded by the addition of Regiments of Renown, unique unit variants with special traits and abilities, whose prowess in battle have immortalized them in the annals of the Old World."
An update that will launch alongside The Grim & The Grave will introduce "a number of unique new battle maps and Vlad von Carstein as a free legendary lord for all players."
The Grim & The Grave will be available from September 1. You can watch a trailer for the DLC above, or take a look below for a breakdown of the content, as listed on the Steam page.

    • The Grim & The Grave is the first Lords Pack for Total War: Warhammer. Bolstering the forces of both The Empire and The Vampire Counts, it introduces famous rival characters and new iconic units from the world of Warhammer Fantasy Battles to your campaigns and battles.
    • Two new Legendary Lords...
    • …with new quest chains, magic items and skill trees
    • Two new additional Lord types
    • Five all-new battlefield units plus variants
    • Five new battlefields for custom battles and multiplayer battles
    • 18 elite Regiments of Renown
GameSpot's Warhammer review scored the game a 9/10.
"When you're in the middle of a siege and you're coordinating an assault with a friend, Total War: Warhammer approaches perfection," critic Daniel Starkey said.
"You’ll be tested on all fronts and asked to manage complex battles with broad, nuanced outcomes. Every system and piece feeds into others, and your choices make all the difference. It's a triumph of real-time strategy design, and the best the Total War series has ever been."

Warhammer is the first in a trilogy, but Creative Assembly also has plans for to support the first game with DLC in the months ahead.
Additionally, Creative Assembly is working on this year's Halo Wars 2 for Xbox One and PC.
