    We’ll be getting our first look at the Nintendo Switch on January 12 and the following day, media and press will get their first hands-on with Nintendo’s new console at a private event in New York. The event will take place on January 13th following the reveal and press will have a five-hour window to play with the new console.

    The streamed presentation that goes live on January 12th will offer more details about the hardware featured in the Nintendo Switch, which the company has been quiet about since the console was first announced in October.

    This presentation will also reveal the Switch price and release date, which right now is only pegged as a March 2017 launch window.

    What do you hope to see from this event? While we’re all curious how well the hardware performs, I’m mostly curious about what new games Nintendo plans to bring to those who supported them through the Wii U era.
