Ubisoft continues to slowly roll out new information regarding the additions coming in Rainbow Six Siege's Operation Red Crow update. The latest details are about a new Operator named Hibana, who is an Attacker-class character.

As featured briefly in the video above, Hibana (which means spark) is a member of Japan's Special Assault Team. She's one of two SAT members joining Siege's lineup in the Red Crow update, but we don't yet know what her special ability is. Ubisoft did say that SAT members are proficient in close-quarters combat, so she'll be equipped with the SuperNova and Type-89 as primary weapon options, and PM9 and P229 as secondaries.

"[As] the first female Attacker post-launch, we wished to create an Operator that would create fresh tactical opportunities," explained writer Farah Daoud-Brixi. "The versatility she offers on the field will allow for more diverse team compositions. It was this unique aspect that we found interesting both in terms of game mechanics and characterization."

The Japanese-themed Red Crow update also comes with a map that we got a look at last week. Prior to that, some of the new content leaked on Twitter, though the video in question has since been removed.

Siege's new map will be free to all players. The same is true of the Operators, though they will need to be unlocked with in-game credits. The identity of the second character in Red Crow has not yet been revealed, but we'll be learning more about everything in the update during a livestream on November 12. That stream coincides with the PC and Xbox One Pro League Finals that run November 12-13.
