Star Wars Battlefront's Newest Mode Sounds Great

Electronic Arts today announced a new mode for Star Wars Battlefront that's coming to the game through its Death Star expansion next month. It's called Battle Station, and from it's description, it definitely sounds unique.
Battle Station matches see players fighting through three phases, each with its own objective. The first phase has Rebel players flying X-wings and A-wings against Imperials piloting TIE fighters and TIE interceptors in space battles. The objective for this phase is for Rebels to kill enough TIE fighters to clear a path for a team of Y-wing support ships to lay down fire to weaken the Star Destroyer's defenses.
[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]After the shields are low enough, Rebel players can shoot the ship's weak spots to eventually bring it down. Empire players are aided in their defense by some AI ships that shoot at the Rebels.
If Rebels are successful, the fight moves to phase two, which shifts to ground-based combat. Players on both sides will fight inside the Death Star itself. Rebels must extract a droid, while the Imperial side is charged with stopping them. Players can also use the new hero characters, Chewbacca and Bossk.
In the third stage, should it be necessary, players will go back to their ships for a final showdown. The Rebel side is tasked with blowing up the Death Star and players can become Luke Skywalker and fly his Red-5 X-wing to take out the ship in a scene not unlike the one from A New Hope. On the Imperial side, Darth Vader will be working to stop the Rebel assault in his TIE Advanced ship.
The Battle Station mode is just one piece of Battlefront's Death Star expansion. The content also comes with new mas, Star Cards, and weapons, which will be announced later. The Death Star add-on launches in September, though a specific release date has not been announced.
It is Battlefront's third expansion, following Outer Rim and Bespin. The fourth add-on, Rogue One: Scarif, which is based on this year's movie, is slated to launch this holiday.
