Blizzard announced at Gamescom that it already has a new World of Warcraft content patch planned for Legion, even though the upcoming expansion has yet to be released. Patch 7.1, Return to Karazhan, will bring back the titular area as a five-player dungeon with nine bosses.
Online role-playing outlet MMO Champion collected the patch's details from the announcement stream. It's confirmed that the old Karazhan will still exist and be available for players to explore and farm for items and resources. Additionally, the patch introduces a small raid amidst The Emerald Nightmare and The Nighthold that's supposed to bring the Stormheim story to an end.

On top of that, Patch 7.1 includes outdoor Suramar content that's part of the Nightfallen story. Players can test the patch for themselves, as the PTR goes live right after the Legion expansions launches on August 30. You can also watch a teaser video that MMO Champion captured and archived above.
World of Warcraft: Legion sees the return of the series' iconic character Illidan, something that Blizzard had planned since The Burning Crusade expansion. Destiny's mysterious salesman Xur is also set to make an appearance in the add-on.
